Ellen Frankenberg, Ph.D., is CEO of The Frankenberg Group and a family business psychologist with 20 years experience managing her own business. She consults regularly with family and closely held companies primarily in the manufacturing, distribution and construction industries.

Dr. Ellen Frankenberg was honored on November 12, 2013 at a celebration at the Cincinnati Bengals Stadium along with other top Cincinnati business leaders who have partnered with working in neighborhoods during the past 35 years.

Working in Neighborhoods, a non-profit celebrating its 35th anniversary, provides housing, economic literacy and leadership development in Cincinnati’s urban neighborhoods.

Also honored were Dan Neyer, Neyer Properties; Johnna Reeder, Duke Energy; Troy Blackburn, Cincinnati Bengals; Mark Walton, Fifth Third Bank; Ellen, Don Barker, Healthsmart; Peg Moertl, PNC Bank; Tom Norton, Norton Outdoor Advertising; and Ed Diller, Taft, Stettinius and Hollister.

 

Ellen Frankenberg awarded Interdisciplinary Achievement Award

On October 13, 2013 at their San Diego conference
The Family Firm Institute, the premier global organization for advisors to entrepreneurial families, awarded Ellen Frankenberg their Interdisciplinary Achievement Award.

This award was given based on Dr. Frankenberg's longstanding work promoting collaborative relationships among professionals who advise business families.

  • She has taught seminars for accountants, attorneys, financial advisors and psychologists through the University of British Columbia at Vancouver and Toronto and through the Family Firm Institute.
  • She has developed study groups during the past 20 years, bringing together professionals to share cases and improve practice in their work with family firms.
  • She has mentored other professionals, including attorneys and other psychologists as they develop careers with family enterprises.  
  • She has collaborated with other trusted advisors while working with family business clients for more than 20 years.

Dr. Frankenberg has served since 2001 as a Family Business Advisor with Fellow Status, the highest credential in the field as designated by the Family Firm Institute.

Hilliard Lyons in Louisville, Kentucky on Feb. 9, 2012.


Dr. Ellen Frankenberg participated in a seminar in Evanston, Illinois May 2, 3, 4, 2014 where she led a seminar entitled "Preparing for Life Transitions".


Dr. Frankenberg also presented a seminar titled "Consulting to Family Businesses" for the Cincinnati Academy of Professional Psychologists on May 16, 2014.
